Safe Haven
Now that the world is on facebook, I feel a lot less pressure to perform here on xanga.
And probably more privacy, even in this age of "your employer is watching."
Had a lot of good times on xanga. Hell, had a whole relationship here once, years ago.
Though I strongly prefer the aesthetics of Blogger, I feel a loyalty here. And all my STUFF is here. Plus, as anyone would agree, "xanga" is a way cooler name than "blogger."

I've tried other blog sites. Xanga is home. I find it easier to use. Plus I have found you won't get your readership to transfer their loyalties from Xanga. And getting new subbers at blogger is like starting all over.
Facebook has its uses but it will never replace blogging. Too many real life people I know on FB. I like being couched in my relative anonymity here.
Amen darlin!! I would never blog on FB. There is so much stuff I could never put there! I need to be here more often too. Esecially now.
I'm not leaving xanga. Facebook is a completely different purpose/audience. I miss some people who used to blog (and comment) quite a bit but are now taking the easy way out with facebook
I am on FB and hate it. I am still dragging my feet on the new xanga format too because it is too "facebookish" for me.
Plus...xanga blogs take time/effort, not just a quick blurb on the wall!
